Papillion is a village in Sarpy County in the U.S. state of Nebraska. It is the county seat of Sarpy County. Papillion is a suburb of neighboring Omaha. Local residents use the nickname Papio to refer to the creek that runs through the village.[citation needed] The population was 16,363 at the 2000 census. In 2007 Papillion was named the #6 best place to live by Money Magazine.
